Piano Beyond Foundations

This course is for students who have learned the basics and can read simple sheet music. It focuses on expanding scales, chords, arpeggios, and dynamics, while introducing more complex classical pieces, popular songs, and improvisation techniques.

Students will also explore music theory (major/minor scales, chord progressions, rhythm patterns) and develop expression through dynamics (soft/loud), phrasing, and pedaling techniques. Duet playing and performance preparation will also be introduced.
